Result of Service

Based on initial national consultations, the proposed national training will aim to strengthen the EIA process – including EIA preparation, review, licensing and follow up compliance monitoring – within the renewable energy sector. It seeks to bring together and integrate national environmental and energy sector expertise, address current gaps in the EIA process, and promote cross sector collaboration. The course presents an opportunity to institutionalize cross-sector EIA capacity and improve the technical quality of EIA reports and follow up monitoring, which are currently inconsistent.
