About this role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to design, develop, and optimize automated workflows on robotic platforms to support active substance development activities. This role is central to advancing laboratory automation across multiple development areas and to strengthening the efficiency and innovation of our development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize automated workflows on robotic platforms (liquid handlers, incubators, plate readers, and integrated systems) to support upstream and downstream active substance development.
  • Execute and support laboratory experiments on robotic platforms, including method development, process optimization, and pilot-scale activities within the context of biologics process development.
  • Maintain accurate records of experiments and contribute to project documentation in compliance with good laboratory practices (GLP).
  • Contribute to the documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for robotic workflows.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues on robotic platforms and propose practical adjustments to improve automation robustness and throughput.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process development, analytics, manufacturing) to support the deployment of automated solutions.
  • Participate in team meetings to present results, discuss progress, challenges, and next steps.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Automation & Robotics or a related field.
  • Candidates with a Master's in a related scientific discipline (e.g., biotechnology, biochemistry, chemical engineering) are considered.
  • Experience with programming languages used in automation (e.g., Python).
  • Ability to work autonomously while fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey results and collaborate with team members.
  • Practical experience with laboratory techniques (chromatography, filtration, sample preparation, cell cultures) is a plus.
  • Practical experience with robotic platforms or automation in a laboratory setting (liquid handling systems, high-throughput analytics, integrated workstations) is a plus.
  • Languages: English required; French is a plus.
