While it may feel a little early to be thinking about travel plans for next year, SWISS has already announced its 2026 summer schedule. The timetable includes two new European destinations, increased flight frequency from Zurich to several European cities, and a particular focus on 2026 FIFA World Cup host cities.

SWISS will fly to two new destinations in Europe

The flagship airline of Switzerland, SWISS, has revealed its 2026 summer schedule in a press release. The schedule covers the period from March 29 to October 24, with flights already available to book.

SWISS has added two new European destinations to its offering. The airline will begin operating flights from Zurich to Poznań, Poland on March 29, 2026, three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. For travellers seeking some summer sun, flights will run from Zurich to Rijeka, Croatia in July and August.

Increased flights to European holiday hot-spots

Responding to rising demand, SWISS also plans to increase flight frequency from Zurich to the popular destinations of Alicante, Budapest, Manchester, Montpellier, Tirana, Valencia and Venice, all during the summer period. Budapest and Venice will each receive 28 and 29 flights a week, respectively.

For flights from Geneva, SWISS will accommodate travellers wanting to visit Greece and Portugal. And for people wishing to travel further afield, the number of flights between Zurich and Tokyo will increase to daily in April, May and October.

SWISS focus on 2026 FIFA World Cup

Football fans will be pleased to hear that SWISS plans to operate regular flights to the 2026 FIFA World Cup host cities in the US and Canada. Daily, or several times a day, flights will run to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Miami and Toronto.

“I am delighted that, with our long-established destinations in the USA and Canada, we’ll also be able to fly many soccer fans straight to their World Cup games,” said SWISS Chief Commercial Officer Heike Birlenbach.

In total, the SWISS 2026 summer schedule will offer flights to 112 destinations from Switzerland’s two largest airports, Zurich and Geneva. Only two new destinations have been announced for next year compared to seven in 2025’s summer schedule.
