Technologies that make the difference The “Electronics” group of our Business Unit Systems based in Neuchâtel and Bern, Switzerland,
is looking for R&D Electronic Engineers in Digital Health  Your missionYour mission will be to contribute to the Digital health development with the creation and implementation of innovative electronic circuits for medical wearables. More specifically, your role will include to imagine practical solutions from device requirements, to establish and document the electronic diagrams based on off-the-shelf components, to follow up the PCBA manufacturing, and to experimentally perform the verification of the proposed solution. You will contribute to projects involving academic and industrial partners that aim to bring to the market new technologies. Your responsibilitiesFrom a general architecture concept and requirements, you

  • Finalize the electronic design, detail the electronic diagrams (e.g., with Altium), select and scale components, perform simulations when appropriate, debug and characterize the populated PCB
  • Document your work with sufficient detail and clarity for pairs to take over
  • Work in close collaboration with colleagues, in particular Technicians for layout and Engineers for firmware

Depending on profile and near-future evolution, further responsibilities may be:

  • Propose and invent architecture concepts, define requirements
  • Write proposals for customers & R&D projects
  • Manager projects and coach engineers
  • Promote and reinforce CSEM’s position through patents, publications, presentations at conferences

Place of work will be Bern and Neuchâtel. Your profileWe are looking for a 3-year experienced R&D Engineer and a young graduate. K-how

  • Master’s degree and/or PHD in Electronics (EPF/ETH or equivalent) with a good understanding of linear circuit theory, amplitude modulation, and (analogue) control theory
  • Development of low-power mixed-signal electronics with discrete components
  • Development of electronic boards
  • Experience in medical development is a plus
