System Support Engineer (m/f/d)
About this role
For our client, a leading international pioneer in healthcare and in-vitro diagnostics based in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a proactive and technically-skilled System Support Engineer to join the R&D Service team. In this role, you will act as a key technical expert, ensuring the seamless operation and reliability of life-saving diagnostic systems throughout their entire lifecycle.

Remote/Home-Office: 1 day per week (20%) possible
Travel: Possible, though not currently planned as a core requirement
Tasks & Responsibilities
Technical Expert & Point of Contact: Serve as the primary technical liaison for internal customers regarding all hardware and software service aspects.
System Deployment: Install complex diagnostic systems and configurations according to specialized technical manuals and internal databases.
Maintenance & Lifecycle Management: Perform system qualifications (IQ/OQ), execute preventive maintenance, and conduct autonomous troubleshooting and repairs.
Quality & Governance: Ensure comprehensive documentation of all service activities in strict accordance with established quality and regulatory standards.
Trial Support: Provide essential technical support for global development trials, ensuring system readiness for critical R&D milestones.
System Orchestration: Manage the deployment and servicing of various configurations to ensure optimal laboratory performance.
Qualifications (Must Haves)
Education: HF/BSc/MSc in Technical Engineering (Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation), Life Sciences, or a completed technical vocational training with equivalent professional experience.
Technical Experience: Proven initial experience in a technical or mechanical role, demonstrating a hands-on approach to hardware.
Laboratory Readiness: Willingness and ability to work in a highly regulated environment, specifically within laboratories with Biosafety Levels S1 and S2.
Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory for this global environment.
Soft Skills: A customer-centric team player with an autonomous, proactive work style and the ability to communicate effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
Nice to Haves
Local Language: Proficiency in German is a significant advantage for the Rotkreuz site.
Industry Context: Previous experience in the Healthcare/Diagnostics sector, particularly with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Technical Specialized Knowledge: Entry-level skills in Network Administration and Troubleshooting.
Professional Background: Experience servicing diagnostic instruments or involvement in Equipment Management.
Problem-Solving Mindset: Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues within interdisciplinary environments (lab, software, hardware, and workflow).
