About the OpportunityOur client, a major organization undergoing a large-scale digital transformation, is seeking an experienced Senior Test Manager to strengthen its Quality Engineering and Testing capability.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and driving testing strategies across complex projects and digital services, ensuring quality objectives are achieved while balancing business priorities, delivery timelines, and risk management.
This role requires a strategic quality leader capable of influencing stakeholders, managing testing activities across multiple initiatives, and promoting a strong testing culture throughout the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesTest Strategy & GovernanceDefine and implement project-level testing strategies based on business requirements and risk analysis.
Establish quality objectives, testing approaches, and acceptance criteria.
Ensure alignment between testing activities, project goals, and organizational quality standards.
Drive continuous improvement of testing practices, processes, and governance.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all testing activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage testing schedules, resources, dependencies, and deliverables.
Coordinate internal and external testing teams.
Monitor test progress, coverage, quality metrics, and risks.
Lead quality-related decision-making and contribute to project governance.
Provide quality reporting to project leadership and stakeholders.
Support Go/No-Go decisions through risk-based recommendations.
Ensure defect management processes are effectively implemented and monitored.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Development Teams, and Business Stakeholders.
Facilitate discussions and arbitration regarding quality, scope, timelines, and risk.
Act as the primary point of contact for all testing-related matters.
Mentor and support testers and quality professionals.
Promote best practices in testing and quality engineering.
Contribute to the evolution of testing standards, methodologies, and tooling.
Participate in communities of practice and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Support test preparation and execution activities.
Review test cases and testing deliverables.
Assist with defect analysis and traceability activities.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Test Manager, QA Lead, or equivalent role in Agile delivery environments.
Proven experience defining, implementing, and governing test strategies for complex IT projects.
Strong experience managing testing activities across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to drive quality initiatives within large-scale organizations.
Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Xray.
Experience with enterprise test management platforms such as OpenText ALM / HP ALM.
Experience tracking quality metrics, test coverage, and defect management processes.
Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum).
Practical experience with risk-based testing approaches.
Experience implementing quality processes, standards, and governance frameworks.
French: Fluent / Professional proficiency (C1 minimum) – Mandatory
English: Fluent / Professional proficiency (C1 minimum) – Mandatory
Candidates must be comfortable leading meetings, producing documentation, and communicating with stakeholders in both French and English.
Required Education & CertificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
ISTQB Foundation certification (or equivalent recognized testing certification).
ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification.
Scrum Master certification.
Product Owner certification.
Experience implementing quality frameworks and testing governance models.
Experience leading and mentoring testing teams.
Experience in large, multi-stakeholder transformation programs.
Experience using AI-powered tools to improve testing efficiency and quality activities.
Strong knowledge of test risk assessment and quality assurance methodologies.
Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).
Knowledge of Hermes, RUP, ITIL, or equivalent methodologies.
Experience with test automation tools such as:
Tosca
Selenium
Playwright
Other enterprise automation platforms
Coaching and training experience.
Public sector or highly regulated industry experience.
Exposure to Quality Engineering and shift-left testing practices.
Within the first months of the assignment, you will:
