About the OpportunityOur client, a large and complex IT organization, is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Automation Engineer to support the development, optimization, and industrialization of monitoring and automation solutions within a large-scale virtualized infrastructure environment.
The successful candidate will contribute to the evolution of enterprise monitoring platforms, automation frameworks, and infrastructure management tools while ensuring compliance with quality, security, and operational standards.
This role is ideal for professionals with a strong infrastructure engineering background who enjoy building scalable automation solutions and improving operational efficiency through scripting, monitoring, and platform engineering practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Automation DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain automation solutions supporting enterprise infrastructure operations.
Develop and maintain Python-based tools and services.
Create and enhance SaltStack execution and state modules.
Build and maintain automated testing frameworks using Pester.
Design, develop, and maintain monitoring solutions within Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
Develop and maintain Management Pack fragments and monitoring components.
Enhance and evolve monitoring service models and industrialized monitoring solutions.
Ensure monitoring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with operational requirements.
Apply software engineering best practices to infrastructure automation development.
Contribute to CI/CD implementation and testing automation.
Troubleshoot defects, investigate root causes, and implement improvements.
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Work closely with infrastructure, operations, and platform engineering teams.
Gather and translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
Share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidates should demonstrate strong hands-on experience in most of the following technologies:
Automation & Development
Strong Python development experience.
PowerShell scripting experience.
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions in enterprise environments.
Testing & Quality
Strong expertise with Pester (version 5.5 or higher).
Experience developing and maintaining Pester testing modules.
Knowledge of automated testing practices and quality assurance principles.
Monitoring & Infrastructure Management
Strong experience with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
Experience developing and maintaining Management Pack fragments.
Experience with:
Silect MP Studio
Silect MP Portal
Strong understanding of enterprise monitoring architectures and operational monitoring best practices.
Configuration Management & Automation
Strong experience with SaltStack.
Experience developing Salt execution modules and state modules.
Understanding of infrastructure automation and configuration management principles.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
French: Fluent / Professional proficiency (C1 minimum) – Mandatory
English: Fluent / Professional proficiency (C1 minimum) – Mandatory
Candidates must be able to work effectively in both French and English-speaking technical environments.
