Software Engineer - Bern
About this role
Salary: CHF 80'000 - 110'000 per year
Requirements:- We require a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline, or a completed apprenticeship in computer science with a Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence.
- We require 2-6 years of professional experience in backend development, ideally with a strong focus on Java.
- We require solid understanding of object-oriented programming, preferably using Java.
- We require hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit.
- We require strong knowledge of database systems; experience with MongoDB is considered an advantage.
- We consider familiarity with technologies such as Spring Boot, Kafka, and Flink beneficial.
- We consider experience working with Big Data or large-scale data processing environments a plus.
- We require a proactive mindset with a sense of ownership, demonstrating initiative in improving systems and optimizing processes.
- We require good knowledge of English, written and verbal; additional languages are an advantage.
- We require Swiss or EU/EFTA citizenship, with a work permit B or C where applicable.
- We develop scalable backend solutions for large-scale data processing.
- We engage in the full life-cycle application development, including user requirements, specifications, design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and maintenance.
- We implement high-quality, reusable, and well-tested software solutions using object-oriented programming languages such as Java.
