IP Network Engineer
About this role
Salary: CHF 80'000 - 110'000 per year
Requirements:- We require a CCNA or equivalent training.
- We require knowledge of network technologies such as switches, routers and firewalls, and a willingness to familiarize yourself with these technologies.
- We require strong work and project planning skills to ensure tasks are completed on time and efficiently.
- We require a structured approach and a strong interest in creatively solving technical or organizational problems.
- We require a dynamic, reliable and proactive mindset with enthusiasm that positively influences the team and colleagues.
- We require the ability to work successfully in an international environment with clients, colleagues and subject matter experts from different cultures.
- We require excellent communication skills, both with technical experts and non-technical stakeholders.
- We consider it an advantage if you have a higher education, such as an HF degree, Bachelors or Masters degree in IT, business administration or project management.
- We require the position to be open to Swiss and EU nationals, or holders of a valid Swiss work permit.
- We act as the person of reference for the operation of our worldwide IP backbone.
- We install, upgrade and support our network infrastructure as part of our IP team.
- We work with the architects and the Head of IP to plan our future infrastructure.
- We strive to automate IT processes and systems and operate our infrastructure with high quality.
- We follow developments in network technologies and propose new solutions for our company.
- We manage a wide range of systems including MPLS, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, IPSec, overlay routing, IPX/GRX, Cisco ASR, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ACI, Cisco ICE, Arista switches and Fortinet firewalls.
- We ensure the smooth operation of our network infrastructure, including identifying and resolving faults in our global data centers and in the office.
- We work with and support an effective support organization within the IP team, including on-call duty.
- We ensure that requests from external and internal departments are processed efficiently and that our network infrastructure is offered with the highest quality and reliability.
