Zurich Oktoberfest | Züri-Wiesn
If you don't have time to head to Munich to enjoy the famous Oktoberfest, never fear! Oktoberfest is also coming to Switzerland.
Zurich Oktoberfest (Züri-Wiesn)
From October 8 - November 8 this year, Zurich's iconic Bauschänzli will be totally transformed into a Bavarian beer hall and garden.
Outside, a beer garden will be available, free to enter and without reservations. The menu there is limited, but you can still get plenty of beer, pork, sausages and pretzels. Inside, the main area will house a huge beer tent!
You need to reserve a spot inside, and these start from 70 Swiss francs per seat, but include one litre of beer and one main course of your choice. If you want to attend with a group of friends, you can get deals on reserving whole tables, with different food and drink packages available.
Bands will also play classic Bavarian music inside the beer tent, so you can really get into the spirit of the event.

Attending Zurich Oktoberfest
The fact that the festival takes place in downtown Zurich means that public transport is the ideal way to make your way here, especially as you'll not want to be a designated driver at this event! Some other Swiss cities, such as Basel and Lucerne, do have their own celebrations, so don't forget to find out more about Oktoberfest in Switzerland.
To check out the menus and the bands playing or to reserve your seat inside the beer tent, you can go to the Zuri-Wiesn website.
