Place du Manoir, 1920, Martigny

Martigny is getting its glam on and is celebrating Pride this July 19 and 20. Embrace the love and join in celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community by dancing in the streets.

Martigny Pride 2024

While Pride itself is on Saturday, July 20, the pre-party starts on Friday evening to get everyone in the mood. From 6pm on Place du Manoir you can join the post-work drinks, with DJs, drinking and dancing.

Saturday is the real deal with so much happening! The Pride Village opens from 11.30am, where you can start to mingle and check out the various stands and stalls.

The big parade kicks off at 2pm, marching through the streets of Martigny to demand equal rights and celebrate love in all its forms. After the parade comes the speeches and demands, making sure the needs of the LGBTQIA+ are heard by those who can enact change.

From 4.30pm-6.30pm, there's a kids' programme, with Drag King reading time and a clown, so you can attend Pride with your whole family!

As the evening draws on, the party really gets going. Live music and DJs take to the stage and you can expect glamorous outfits, kitsch sounds and all-night dancing.

Yourself, everywhere!

The slogan for Martigny Pride in 2024 is "Yourself, everywhere!". This phrase embodies the desire to create a world where everyone is free to be themselves without fear or compromise. So be brave enough to take your authentic self to Pride this year, and don't hide away!

Getting to Martigny Pride

The central hub of Pride is on Place du Manoir, which is in the centre of town, just a 10-minute walk from the train station. Parking is extremely limited in the town centre, so the organisers are asking people to come by public transport if possible or car-share if driving cannot be avoided. With Pride not happening in Geneva until 2025, hop on the train for the two-hour journey to Martigny instead! If Martigny is just too far to travel, don't forget to check out Bern Pride happening in August.

Further information

All the events at Martigny Pride are free to enjoy and no tickets are needed. You can find out more about what is happening when, and read a full list of the demands of the march, on the Martigny Pride website.
