The largest Swiss festival for pop culture, cosplay and gaming is back from May 29-31. The 11th edition of Fantasy Basel - The Swiss Comic Con will be bigger than ever and you don’t want to miss it!

The Swiss Comic Con

Fantasy Basel has been delighting fans of films, games, cosplay and comics for more than 10 years, becoming the largest pop culture convention in Switzerland and one of the most important in Europe. Over three days in Basel, the festival provides the ultimate spot to find everything related to films, TV series, games, cosplay, comics, anime, manga, art, content creation, the Middle Ages, board games and much more.

Highlights of Fantasy Basel - The Swiss Comic Con 2025

Be transported into the world of your favourite universe at one of the main highlights of Fantasy Basel - the Cosplay Village. There is a cosplay competition where cosplayers stand a chance to win a holiday and other fantastic prizes. If you’re not a cosplayer yourself, you can marvel at the incredible and colourful costumes of the contestants, as well as national and international cosplay stars. 

The Swiss Space Museum has an exciting exhibition, fascinating experiments and great activities to explore in the space area of the convention to take you on an expedition of the cosmos. Meet stars and actors from the world of film and series and get their autographs. 

Try out the latest hardware to take your gaming to the next level in the gaming zone, where exhibitors bring the latest products and special offers for you to discover thrilling new games! Movie sets in the Star Wars zone allow fans to imagine themselves in the world of Luke Skywalker - there’s even a chance for photographs to remember the day.

The universe is the limit

Fantasy Basel provides a fun outing for adults and children alike. Along with all the highlighted activities, there is a large-scale merchandise area for fans to add to their collections, creative workshops, culinary delights and plenty of entertainment. Visitors can also meet internationally successful names from the urban art and fantasy art scenes, as well as world-famous comic artists. There is even a tattoo art area where the art comes alive on the skin.
