Your new role

  • Owning the sales cycle from taking the initiative in establishing first contact with prospects to closing deals and initiating long-term relationships
  • Qualifying leads, prospects, and inquiries and identify their needs and pain points, and check if they are a good fit
  • Teaming up with the pre-sales engineering to define custom tailor-made solutions for customer needs
  • Negotiating contracts & terms, conditions, prices, service level agreements, etc.
  • Working closely with inside sales and customer success management to generate and deliver offers to the customer
  • Strategically taking responsibility to continuously improve our sales process
  • Joining efforts and contributing to improve marketing activities by brainstorming campaigns, refining targeting, and identifying new market needs
  • Always seeking to improve customer service with customer success and service managers
  • Collaborating to improve product management and represent customer voices at VSHN

VSHN supports other developers in making their software testable, deployable, scalable, and operatable in any cloud as automatically as possible. We call this DevOps; other companies sometimes call it Site Reliability Engineering, Operation-, DevTools-, Automation- or Developer Happiness Engineering. We run applications so that the users are happy with the stability and 24/7 availability and the developers with agility and control. In addition, we take care of the generic processes like packaging, deployment and rollback, scaling, service discovery and load balancing, configuration and key management so that our customers can take care of (new) features even more efficiently.

  • You have experience in a similar sales or business development role within the IT, cloud, or software industry.
  • You can close sales, handle leads and prospects, and are enthusiastic about long-term business relationships.
  • You are a skilled communicator & negotiator, enjoy talking to people, and present confidently.
  • You are at ease representing your work, are used to “getting your hands dirty,” and are dependable and take ownership.
  • You want to change things; you want to grow VSHN as a company and be a vital part of this.
  • You are willing to learn and grow, which is way more important for us than many years of experience.
  • You are business fluent in English - German or a Second national language is advantageous.
