As part of its current European expansion, Exoscale is recruiting a Security Engineer to join our headquarter offices in Lausanne. Exoscale is an Infrastructure as a Service company which focuses on simplicity, scalability, and safety. Exoscale builds cloud computing products for IT specialists from any industry and offers zones in more than 6 locations throughout Europe. The Security Engineer will strengthen the Security team and work closely with the Head of Security to ensure that Exoscale meets its security objectives and protects its interests. The Security Engineer role is cross-functional in nature and will require interacting with team members across the organization. Location: Lausanne/remoteSecurity Engineer (f/m/d)
Main responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the design and implementation of Exoscale's security architecture
  • Managing and monitoring Exoscale's security infrastructure and workplace environment
  • Providing support to incident response and recommendations for corrective action
  • Supporting the Bug Bounty Program
  • Maintaining awareness of current security threats and developments
  • Helping to define and implement Exoscale's ISMS Identifying, assessing and mitigating security risks
  • Improve technical abuse prevention and reputation safeguard measures


  • 2+ years of experience in an information security-related role
  • Kledge of cloud computing and related security issues
  • Experience in information security, risk management and Linux system administration
  • Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (SIEM), vulnerability scanning and other security technologies
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python) and automation tools
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and continue to develop oneself, keeping ahead of the related changes and innovations in the field
  • Mandatory: English written and spoken
  • Optional: German written and spoken
  • Optional: French written and spoken
