In 2021, Switzerland enticed tourists with a Federer-filled promotional video that featured American actor Robert De Niro, eventually reaching viral popularity on the internet. This year, Switzerland Tourism, the national tourism organisation for Switzerland, has decided it will once again ask tennis-king Roger Federer to feature in a video, alongside another Hollywood star - with great success.

The promotional video, posted by Switzerland Tourism on their YouTube channel, features actor Anne Hathaway alongside Federer and showcases some of the most beautiful landscapes along Switzerland’s Grand Tour route. 

According to Switzerland Tourism, the Grand Tour circuit of 1.643 kilometres “guides you to 46 top attractions in Switzerland and past 22 lakes, 5 Alpine passes and 13 UNESCO World Heritage sites.” Visitors can see stunning natural scenery such as dramatic Swiss mountains and rivers along the route, while also stopping to take in historical sites and castles.

The new promo pokes fun at the top tennis star’s muscular physique, noting that the Grand Tour of Switzerland is “even more majestic than Roger Federer’s abs” and even features Hathaway speaking a little bit of Swiss German!
