About this role
For one of our clients, an international pharmaceutical company, we are seeking a Project Technical Lead (Automated Visual Inspection).

Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Develop URS and TechSpecs for AVI in IV bag applications
- Lead the end-to-end process of identifying, evaluating, and conceptualizing Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) technologies for IV bag production
- Conduct full-scale technology scouting, including vendor landscape analysis (qualified, early adopters, PoC, roadmap)
- Request and analyze budgetary quotations; perform vendor evaluations using KT-analysis
- Lead feasibility studies with vendors and document outcomes
- Design process layouts and develop holistic Concept Designs
- Facilitate supplier feedback and refine technical and commercial proposals
- Recommend preferred supplier and ensure handover to Basic Design phases
- Ensure execution readiness and alignment with project timelines (3–6 months)
- Travel to vendor sites and internal facilities expected (up to 30%)
Must haves:
- Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related technical field
- 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical engineering or related industry
- Strong background in process engineering and visual inspection technologies, ideally in parenteral or IV bag manufacturing
- Expertise in AVI (Automated Visual Inspection)
- Experience in URS/TechSpec development, vendor management, and feasibility studies
- Demonstrated experience in implementing emerging technologies into commercial manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in visual inspection, including data requirements and algorithm validation
- Experience with PoC, prototype testing, and early-stage technology validation
- Strong project management and technical writing skills
- Strategic thinker with strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability and delivery focus
- Fluent in English (written and oral)
