UX Designer & Researcher – Figma Design Systems

We are looking for a senior UX professional to own, evolve, and quality-control our large-scale modular design system while delivering high-quality graphic assets and enabling smooth cross-team collaboration.

Core Responsibilities (~80%):

• Own maintenance, upgrades, and quality assurance of a complex modular design system.
• Create and refine illustrations, icons, components, color systems, typography in Figma & Illustrator for the SVG library.
• Continuously modernize and optimize in-house graphics/symbol databases.
• Collaborate daily with engineering (system, front-end, back-end) and stakeholders (including military experts) to align requirements, dependencies, and approve new UI concepts.
• Perform quality control on UX team deliverables and design system outputs.

Supporting Responsibilities:

• Support UX testing (mobile & stationary), high-fidelity prototyping (ProtoPie), wireframes/user flows, complex navigation architectures, workflow optimization with frontend, UX research phases, norms/standards tracking, and internal usability consultancy.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in UX/Product Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in graphic/UI design (illustration, iconography, typography, layout).
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma (including large-scale design system management) + strong Adobe Illustrator skills.
• Comfortable on macOS and Windows.
• Deep technical understanding of complex interfaces / cockpits.
• Proven ability to maintain and evolve enterprise-level design systems.

Strongly Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

• ProtoPie, Premiere Pro, After Effects.
• Experience with high-fidelity no-code prototyping.
• Hands-on UX testing, interviewing, workshop facilitation.
• Up-to-date knowledge across web, mobile, gaming UX.

• Highly organized and resilient under constant priority shifts and tight deadlines.
• Proactive, hands-on mindset.
• Comfortable managing 10+ parallel projects and supporting stakeholders / cost estimation.
• Strong team player in large development environments.
• Fluent German and Englisch (Must-have)
