About this role

Salary: CHF 80'000 - 110'000 per year

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline, or a completed apprenticeship in computer science with a Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence
2-6 years of professional experience in backend development, ideally with a strong focus on Java
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, preferably using Java
Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit
Strong knowledge of database systems; experience with MongoDB is considered an advantage
Familiarity with technologies such as Spring Boot, Kafka, and Flink is beneficial
Experience working with Big Data or large-scale data processing environments is a plus
A proactive mindset with a sense of ownership, demonstrating initiative in improving systems and optimizing processes
Good knowledge of the English language (written and verbal); additional languages are an advantage
Swiss or EU/EFTA citizen (with a work permit B or C)

Responsibilities:

Develop scalable backend solutions for large-scale data processing
Engage in the full life-cycle application development, including user requirements, specifications, design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and maintenance
Implement high-quality, reusable, and well-tested software solutions using object-oriented programming languages such as Java
