About this role

Salary: CHF 80'000 - 110'000 per year

Requirements:

University degree or equivalent in telecommunications, communication systems, or comparable field with a strong understanding of IP networks and protocols
Experience working with Cisco/Arista routers and switches, and firewalls, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
Deep knowledge of IP networking-related protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, TCP/IP, IPSec, VLANs, QoS, and DNS, and familiarity with network security principles
At least 5 years of professional experience in operating carrier-grade IP networks
Knowledge of LTE/GSM mobile network technologies and the roaming industry is a plus
Dynamic, communicative, and customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable service
Fluent in English, both written and spoken; extra languages are a plus
Willingness to work in Bern, Switzerland
Open to Swiss and EU nationals, and holders of a valid Swiss work permit

Responsibilities:

Operate, maintain, and develop the IPX transport services and systems
Implement and manage IP transport access links, including planning, routing, testing, documentation, and providing technical support to customers and peers
Improve the IP access infrastructure supporting IPX services, ensuring reliable performance and scalability
Proactively monitor the IP access network and manage capacity to ensure optimal performance and prevent issues
Troubleshoot services and resolve technical incidents worldwide to minimize downtime and restore services efficiently
Provide 2nd-level on-call duty support to internal and external parties
