Electronic Engineer (m/w/d) PCR Instrument Product Care Team

For our client, a leading global player in the diagnostics industry based in Rotkreuz, we are seeking a highly motivated and autonomous Electronic Engineer. As part of a global hardware development environment, you will be responsible for the life cycle maintenance and optimization of complex diagnostic systems, specifically focusing on instruments for Nucleic Acid Purification, PCR, and Sequencing.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Life Cycle Maintenance: Ensuring the continued quality and performance of successfully integrated hardware, software, and consumables throughout the product life cycle.
Project Execution: Planning and executing work packages, making data-driven decisions, and recommending technical next steps within your area of responsibility.
Technical Expertise: Serving as a subject matter expert for PCBA design, microcontrollers, and firmware support while maintaining product specifications.
Compliance & Safety: Ensuring all hardware updates align with EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and functional safety requirements.
Documentation: Authoring and reviewing official technical documents (e.g., Design History Files) in SAP to meet strict regulatory standards.
Data Analysis: Analyzing technical data, preparing reports for project leadership, and presenting solutions in cross-functional meetings.
Interface Management: Coordinating efforts between various functional areas, including external development partners and on-site/off-site support functions.
Problem Solving: Proactively identifying issues, escalating them when necessary, and driving efforts to increase efficiency within hardware work packages.
Qualifications:
Education: University degree (Uni/FH) in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in product life cycle management (Product Care) for existing products in the market.
Regulatory Experience: Proven willingness and experience working within a highly regulated industry (e.g., Medical Technology, IVD).
Technical Skills: Strong background in PCBA design, microcontrollers, and firmware support.
Language Skills: Fluent in German (written and spoken) is a must-have; strong proficiency in English is a significant asset for the global environment.
IT & Tools: Proficiency in MS Office and SAP; experience with ECAD (Mentor Graphics/Expedition) is a distinct advantage.
Soft Skills: A solution-oriented team player with a proactive working style and excellent communication skills.
