Join us in our important mission to drive healthcare innovation and raise the level of health and well-being worldwide! As the Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting - EMEAI, you will:

  • Be responsible for the day-to-day management of the EMEAI Finance & Accounting function in collaboration with Global Finance.
    • Oversee and coordinate the tasks and responsibilities of EMEAI accounts to ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports.
    • Direct all accounting activities within DIA EMEAI to ensure all tasks are performed according to local GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and DIA accounting procedures.
    • Support globally led annual audit from a regional point of view as necessary.
    • Keep abreast of changes in financial and VAT regulations (EMEAI) and legislation and implement as appropriate.
    • In collaboration with Global People & Culture, manage HR consultant contract; ensure payroll and benefits are administered accurately, and DIA policies and procedures are implemented regionally.
  • Will be accountable for managing the Budget & Forecasting process for EMEAI.
    • Conduct monthly variance analyses through result evaluation to recommend business improvements.
    • Develop root cause analysis and gap closure plans when results are not in line with financial plan expectations, working with regional leaders.
    • Interpret financial information, including monitoring and analyzing P&Ls and cash flows and predicting future trends, to enable the CFO and SVP/MD to make business decisions to ensure financial targets are met.
    • Participate in cross-functional efforts with Global Finance to improve reporting, planning, and analysis outputs.
  • Support the smooth functioning of the overall EMEAI business operations through active participation in the regional leadership team.
    • Provide insight and active contribution to the regional strategy and advancement through evaluation of new opportunities, organizational efficiencies, and business models.
    • Evaluate financial and strategic impact of new business opportunities on regional level.
    • Perform cost benefit or breakeven analysis on specified projects.
    • Provide financial analysis support as needed to manage ad hoc projects.
    • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to identify business and cost optimization in collaboration with regional leadership team.
    • Develop professional relations with EMEAI functional heads to facilitate information sharing and to support their planning and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain relevant external relationships, e.g., auditors, VAT consultants (EMEAI), lawyers, bankers, and statutory organizations to resolve business issues.
  • Review of contracts (together with external legal company) to ensure favorable terms to DIA, minimal risk/exposure, and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with DIA’s policies and applicable laws.

To join us, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required; Prior experience as an auditor & credentialed accountant preferred.
  • Minimum of 15+ years overall work experience, 5+ years of hands-on accounting, finance, and Controller-level experience in a service-based industry. Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • Experience and working kledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax and treasury management.
  • Prior experience with a subsidiary of a foreign parent company.
  • Experience evaluating cross-border transactions from financial & legal perspective (EMEA & globally).
  • High-level technical competency with various ERP systems, Excel & and database manipulation tools.
  • Working kledge of accounting standards (European and US GAAP, GAAS) and EU & Swiss tax laws laws, regulations, and fiscal policy.
  • Ability to travel required.
  • Fluent in English & German.
