Job Description

The field service engineer will provide professional and valuable services to the clients and ARTIDIS by conducting field visits. The field service engineers’ responsibilities will comprise the installation, repair, and service of the ARTIDIS devices, to ensure that they are functioning properly. He/she will resolve any technical issues and satisfy the client's needs efficiently and in a timely manner.The field service engineer will visit the site whenever a new device is commissioned by a client. He/she will be the first person to be contacted by the support team whenever a technical problem has occurred and should visit the site to troubleshoot the issue and ensure that the device is working smoothly as before.He/she should be specialized in dealing with technical issues of medical devices, ensure quality and services at the site of application. He/she should be able to understand the intricacies of the device, accessories and consumables and should be able to deliver quality services so that it operates normally.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the installation, inspection, and commissioning of ARTIDIS devices.
  • Identify system malfunctions report to support or supervisors. 
  • Disassemble defective parts and replace them with new ones. 
  • Repairs the mechanical, electrical and electronic components of the devices. 
  • Perform device hardware and software service, and upgrade.
  • Assessment of client sites
  • Emergency repairs and service activities in a 24/7 work environment.
  • Responsibility for the product service manuals and creation of service records and service procedures
  • Provides detailed feedback regarding the performance of the systems in the field.
  • Follow up on documentation, log files, device history, change requests and all the tickets and required documents in the quality system in the process.
  • Support the clinical team, and participate in training, presentations, and demonstrations.
  • Active participation and continuous improvement in quality processes


  • Previous experience in medical device industry
  • Previous job experience in mechatronics, automation or similar
  • Engineering Degree
  • Fluent in English, German and Spanish kledge is a plus
  • Customer oriented attitude
  • Proven track record of working in hospitals as a service engineer
  • Independent individual with strong problem-solving skills
  • Education in occupational, electrical and laser safety
