Prémices Festival
Prémices Festival takes place over two evenings in different locations in the heart of Lausanne. Festival-goers can discover dozens of bands and artists as they wander around attending multiple gigs, all in one weekend!
Lausanne is a cultural crossroads, attracting high-calibre arts festivals of all kinds imaginable. Prémices Festival is strategically scheduled in early spring, with both artists and audiences from near and far descending on Lausanne for the kickoff of festival season, as they say farewell to ski resorts for another year.

Taking place in Lausanne, Prémices Festival supports the promising, dynamic musical scene that is dedicated to new developments of the present day. Prémices Festival gives musicians from different backgrounds the opportunity to share ideas - and for audiences to perhaps discover their new favourite bands! The range of musical styles is vibrant and the festival has something for everyone, ranging from rock and electro to folk and pop.
Opening the festival season in the spring, the event allows artists at the beginning of their careers to perform at high-quality venues, which gives them a boost while helping them to reach wider audiences. The festival pass gives festival-goers access to around thirty concerts and DJ sets over a weekend, in iconic Lausanne locations, including La Datcha, La Cave du Bleu Lézard, Le Bourg and Les Jumeaux Jazz Club.
Not only are there concerts at the main venues listed above, but the festival also offers free concerts in bars, restaurants and stores, accessible without a festival pass.

Get your tickets on the Prémices Festival website. Day passes are available, as well as tickets for attending individual concerts, or you can purchase a weekend pass to have access to all concerts. If you'd like to simply attend the free concerts in cafes and bars, then simply plan your journey, whether you're driving or using public transport! Lausanne is easy to reach from other Swiss cities like Lausanne and Zurich.
