Four Forest Zug offers structured and supportive bilingual education for children aged 3 to 15 years, grounded in the Swiss Curriculum 21, with English language instruction following the British National Curriculum. Weekly bilingual immersion

The school’s approach is shaped by a simple but effective model: weekly bilingual immersion. Classes alternate each week between English and German, allowing students to develop fluency and confidence in both languages over time.  Native-speaking teachers deliver all instruction during their respective language weeks. This method supports consistent learning and allows students to truly inhabit each language, one week at a time.

Preschool

Children can begin their learning journey as early as age 3 in Preschool, where language development is fostered through play, singing, storytelling, and guided social interaction. This play-based model creates a strong foundation in both English and German, with activities tailored to meet each child’s developmental stage.

Primary School

From 2nd Kindergarten through to Grade 6, the Primary School continues with the bilingual immersion model and introduces a broader academic programme. Lessons follow the Swiss Curriculum 21, with English language instruction based on the British curriculum. Class sizes remain small, and teachers provide ongoing individual support, ensuring that each student is both challenged and nurtured as they progress.

Secondary School

In Secondary School (Grades 7–9), Four Forest Zug follows Swiss Curriculum 21, with certain subjects taught in English. Students build critical thinking and communication skills, preparing for a variety of post-primary options, including short-term gymnasium entry, apprenticeships, or other future pathways. Teachers work closely with students and families to guide them in their next steps, offering a tailored experience that reflects each learner’s goals and potential.

Co-curricular programme

Beyond academics, Four Forest Zug offers a vibrant co-curricular programme that supports students’ broader development. The after-school club includes supervised play, robotics, art, and drama, while private music lessons, language enrichment, and Homework Club provide further opportunities for creativity and support. Year-round events such as sports days, ski trips, and cultural celebrations help foster friendships across age groups and deepen the sense of belonging.

Safety and wellbeing at Four Forest Zug

Safety and wellbeing are top priorities. The school follows clear policies for health, safeguarding, and child protection, with all staff receiving regular training and clear protocols in place. Parents have access to transparent information around policies, complaints, and data protection, ensuring a high level of trust and accountability.

Global thinking

The Zug campus shares its values and philosophy with its sister school in Lucerne, and both schools are part of the Four Forest Bilingual International Schools group. Together, they provide families in central Switzerland with a consistent, high-quality option for bilingual education rooted in global thinking and local trust.

Four Forest Zug welcomes students throughout the school year and supports a smooth transition into its community at any stage. Whether your child is starting in Preschool or Kindergarten, or preparing for life beyond compulsory education, Four Forest provides the structure, support, and international mindset needed to thrive.
