We are seeking a dynamic and motivated employee with a passion for technology to join our highly skilled customer facing and corporate service squad in Zurich asSenior IT Application ManagerYour TasksAs Senior IT Application Manager, you work in a multi-disciplinary agile organisation along the whole lifecycle (concept, development, operations) of productive customer facing and corporate applications. You are responsible for daily operative tasks (run) as well as for future improvements of your applications’ functional and non-functional aspects. Your daily work includes aligning with requirements engineers, infrastructure engineers, architects and developers, as well as leading external suppliers. It also encompasses business application support, operations and monitoring, change and release coordination, and application testing. Your main responsibilities include:
  • Application Ownership for various customer-facing and/or corporate applications
  • Ensure correct functioning, availability and performance of business applications including Incident and Problem Management
  • Support sustainable implementation of functional and non-functional requirements including Test, Defect and Change Management
  • Coordinate and facilitate external developers
  • Ensure adequate and well-structured documentation
  • Tracking and managing impediments for owned applications, keeping Agile boards updated

Your Profile

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology or equivalent/higher degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in development and/or application manager role
  • Active kledge of Azure Platform and proven experience with Azure development in the last 2 years
  • Experience with vendor management, in particular setting and managing delivery expectations, plans, testing, etc.
  • Proven experience in working with DevOps (preferably Azure DevOps), .NET development (preferably C#), PowerShell, SQL (preferably T-SQL), REST API and Web Applications
  • Excellent English (min. C1); working kledge of German and/or Dutch would be useful
  • Strong analytical capabilities, solution-oriented, customer-focused, confident, self-organised
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are a must
  • Experience in Agile principles and way of work, coding standards and industry best practices
  • Strong interest to help the team to adopt a culture of continuous improvement and self-management
