China Construction Bank (second largest bank in the world) opened our Zurich Branch in 2016 as the first Chinese bank in Switzerland. We provide reliable, high-quality and efficient financial services to Swiss companies with business relations in China and to Chinese companies that have business relations in Switzerland. We focus on corporate banking for large and medium-sized clients and support their trade and investment relationships. Our offerings include commercial lending, trade finance, treasury, RMB clearing and settlement, RMB Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors (RQFII) and other banking products and services. We currently employ about 40 professionals from different cultures and backgrounds.We are looking for a highly motivated Deputy Head Financial Institutions.Your main responsibilities

  • Establishment and/or maintenance of business relationships with current clients and/or prospects within the overall mandate
  • First level of contact and coordination of requests received from clients and/or prospects
  • Maintenance of access and contact to senior level at client and/or prospects
  • Organization and support of client meetings for Head Office Delegations
  • Representation in external working groups and associations
  • Organization of client events
  • National and international regulations: following of new developments and informing/advising of Management about upcoming changes and implications
  • KYC; onboarding, regular and special reviews
  • AML; monitoring, analyzing of and commenting and taking position on negative news regarding clients
  • Credit Process; planning and supervision of Credit Rating and Credit Application process
  • Participation in Management Meetings, Risk and ALCO Meetings
  • Reporting to Branch Management and/or Head Office

Your qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Financial Institutions client relationship management combined with experience as product specialist or sales in global markets and/or banking products
  • Higher education in Finance, Economics or Banking (Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent)
  • Proven experience and successful track record as Head of Financial Institutions/Banking Relations or Senior Banker for Financial Institutions
  • Solid kledge about the Swiss and Liechtenstein financial market and participants
  • Established personal contacts to executives and management level at clients and/or prospects
  • Understanding client needs
  • Proficient k-how of financial and banking products
  • od kledge about international and national financial regulations and regulatory developments
  • Existing kledge about Chinese financial market and Renminbi products and services is beneficial
  • Languages skills (must: English and German; helpful: Chinese and/or French)
