Your responsibilities

  • Perform or supervise NDT inspections carried out in the scope of product certification (e.g. component testing, product flight testing) within required timescales
  • Implementation of the Design Organisation NDT requirements
  • Create NDT procedures
  • Maintain current certifications Level 2
  • Responsible for NDT and M&P lab equipment maintenance and calibration

Tasks

  • Perform Non-Destructive Tests on products or components and report findings to the applicable departments in a detailed report
  • Create NDT procedures and inspection systems
  • Assess external production processes of materials and parts to ensure they meet the requirements of LHD/Kopter specifications
  • Support as a Subject Matter Expert during audits and calls on suppliers in collaboration with supplier quality assurance
  • Plan, perform and supervise material and process tests performed internally as well as at external suppliers to provide material data to stress, fatigue, production and quality areas
  • Support the Design Organisation in the selection of NDT techniques, Materials and Processes
  • To ensure M&P Laboratory Safety Handbook is maintained and remains current (Excluding Chemical aspects)

Your qualifications & experience

  • Previous aerospace NDT level II experience, minimum 5 years
  • Valid EN4179/NAS410 Level 2 qualification in the required NDT methods (minimum requirement UT and ET)
  • More than 5 years of aerospace NDT level 2 experience, a combination of Part 21 & Part 145 environments preferred
  • Thorough kledge of NDT written instructions, codes, specifications and standards used in aerospace
  • Thorough kledge of the product technologies, NDT methods and NDT techniques used in aerospace
  • od kledge of aerospace materials & manufacturing processes
  • Able to work independently to a high quality standard
