Laytime & Operations Specialist

We are seeking a Laytime and Operations Specialist for our Zinc/ Copper Department at our
Headquarters in Baar, Switzerland who will be responsible for supporting in preparing, reviewing and
finalising laytime and operational processes.
Main tasks and responsabilities:
Preparing, reviewing and finalizing laytime and demurrage calculations.
Monitoring and following up on pending laytime files and unsettled claims.
Managing freight and demurrage invoicing administration; issuance and settlement.
Analysing Charter Party terms, voyage documentation and operational events to support claims.
Communicating directly with the relevant stakeholders (Owners, Broker, Agents, Ports, etc.).
Daily contact with the Trading and Traffic Teams in Baar and the field offices worldwide.
Maintaining accurate documentation filing per internal audit and compliance standards.
Playing a significant role in enhancing operational processes and ensuring data integrity.
Qualifications:
A sound educational background (commercial apprenticeship or bachelor).
Minimum 3–4 years of experience with laytime and demurrage calculations in dry bulk and/ or tanker shipping.
Solid understanding of shipping operations, terminal procedures, and Charter Party terms.
Experienced in MS Office usage and advanced user in IMOS.
Well-versed in English (writing and speaking), and familiarity with additional languages is beneficial.
