POLITICAL AFFAIRS OFFICER, P3

This position is located in the Conventional Arms Branch of the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (CAB/UNODA). The Political Affairs Officer will report to the Deputy Chief of Branch. The incumbent will provide substantive and procedural support to implement the Global Framework for Through-life Conventional Ammunition Management, established by General assembly resolution 78/47 “Through-life conventional ammunition management, which will address existing gaps in through-life ammunition management, including international cooperation and assistance, at the national, subregional, regional and global levels. The incumbent will further contribute to the strengthening of the UN SaferGuard Programme, which is the UN’s knowledge management platform on conventional ammunition issues.
