About the job:
The Manufacturing Science & Technology Team (MSAT) works in an agile framework to continuously improve the manufacturing of highly integrated sensors and cartridges (S&C). Their scope covers the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept input and design transfer into routine manufacturing, through to robust product care.
The team uses an agile structure built around Squads and supported by Chapters. This fluid organization allows them to quickly adapt to changing priorities and dynamic business needs. MSAT fosters partnership, inclusive collaboration, and actively works to break down silos.

Your Profile:
- Expertise in (electro-chemical) sensors, sensor manufacturing or (electro-, analytical-, technical) chemistry.
- Knowledge about processes in the chemical labs, manufacturing and quality control.
- Familiarity with leading continuous improvement projects and using data science (programming, statistics etc.) in previous roles or projects to support data-driven decisions. The role includes communication, collaboration and alignment with interfaces ranging from the engineering team to shopfloor, which the candidate brings with him.
Tasks & responsibilities:
- Taking responsibility for regular product care activities within the Squad. Like handling of non-conformity notifications, leading investigations and root cause analysis, coordinating corrective actions in the manufacturing process, implementing changes to the process.
- Working according to internal processes defined by GxP-regulated environment
- Monitoring production data and analyzing key production performance indicators
- Driving Continuous Improvement initiations within the sensor production process
- Supporting production operators as an SME on the ramp up of newly established production line
- Plan and execute experiments (DoEs) in laboratory and production environment for investigation and product improvements
- Coordination and collaboration with internal and external partners
Must Haves:
- University Degree in (Electro-, Analytical- or Technical) Chemistry, (Chemical-, Process- or Manufacturing) Engineering or related field
- First experience in a highly regulated production environment
- First experience GxP
- Adaptive and autonomous team player with the ability for self-reflection
- Open and solution-oriented mindset that actively fosters collaboration
- Interest in agile methodologies and project management techniques
- Thinking strategically and setting concrete objectives with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Experience with statistical analysis / data science
- Ability to apply a programming language (e.g., python or R-Studio) in a practical setting
- Fluent in English, German at least B2 level
Nice to Have:
- Professional experience in a highly regulated industry, ideally in the pharmaceutical or medical sector
- Knowledge of Six sigma and/or lean methodology
- Previous experience in an agile framework (Agile Team, Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and/or project management
- Knowledge of chemical lab processes or manufacturing (screen printing, dispensing) processes
- Database handling (SQL, Snowflake) and experience with software projects
