National Coordinator – EU OACPS Business Friendly Project (Mozambique)
About this role
The Consultant will submit a monthly report on the progress and completion of Outputs for the coffee value chain and institutions for validation, as follows:
Output 1: Operational National Coordination Office Established (August 2025)
A fully functional project coordination unit is set up in Maputo, including the recruitment of key support staff and logistical arrangements to ensure smooth implementation of project activities across targeted regions.
Output 2: Comprehensive Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Report (September 2025)
A consolidated report detailing established institutional partnerships, active collaborations, and stakeholder engagement activities. Includes a regularly updated network directory of coffee value chain actors and institutional partners.
Output 3: Coffee Nurseries Established and Functioning (October 2025)
At least 6 Nurseries in key coffee-growing areas are operational, producing high-quality seedlings and managed by trained youth and women entrepreneurs.
Output 4: Training and Mentorship Programme Rolled Out for Farmers, Youth, and Women (November 2025)
At least 200 beneficiaries (farmers, youth, and women) receive practical training in coffee production, processing, post-harvest handling, and entrepreneurship, with a mentorship model piloted in at least two regions.
Output 5: Value Addition and Market Access Report (December 2025)
Value Addition and Market Access Report detailing opportunities for Mozambican coffee in national, regional, and international markets. Identification of key market trends, barriers, and recommendations for improving market access.
Output 6: Monitoring, Knowledge Sharing, and Communications Plan Delivered (January 2026)
Quarterly progress reports submitted on implementation milestones; lessons learned and good practices documented; and communication materials (social media posts, factsheets) produced and disseminated in coordination with ITC and EU visibility teams.
