About this role
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with expertise in Python and React to join our team for an exciting project. Working remotely, you will be responsible for developing a web-based application for semantic search in a scientific environment. This is a Proof of Concept (POC) project, and your work will be guided by UI/UX design mockups provided by the Research design team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a semantic search web application based on provided UI/UX mockups.
- Build, deploy, and secure Python APIs in a Linux environment.
- Work closely with the design and research teams to ensure the application meets project specifications.
Technical Requirements
- Proven experience in front-end development using React JS and data visualization techniques.
- Strong background in building and deploying Python APIs, with a focus on security, within Linux environments.
- Solid understanding of cloud technologies, with a preference for experience using Azure.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in React JS, NodeJS, Python, Django, and REST API development.
- High level of comfort with Linux command line operations.
- English Language skills essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in developing document search applications.

This role is to work 100% remote from within 1 hour of Swiss time. You may be required to visit Switzerland on short notice, so candidates must also be based in nearby European countries and be able to travel without restriction.
