Python Developer (hedge fund)

Salary: CHF 100’000 - 125’000 per year

Requirements:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Econometrics, or a related field from excellent universities.
• 2–3 years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and the ability to quickly adapt to other languages.
• Practical experience in statistical analysis, numerical computing, data engineering, or machine learning.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale datasets and optimize data pipelines effectively.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to deliver complex, high-impact projects.
• Design, build, and maintain research platforms and data pipelines that power trading and analytical workflows.
• Curate, transform, and present large datasets in clear, actionable formats for research and trading use.
• Take ownership of full development cycles—from gathering requirements to deployment and monitoring in production.
• Work across a diverse technology landscape, balancing trade-offs between scalability, maintainability, and performance.
