Product Technical Owner – Conference Solution Modernisation
Randstad Digital Switzerland is seeking an experienced and dedicated Product Technical Owner (PTO) to support our client in a significant conference platform modernisation effort.
While transitioning its legacy conference management systems to a new solution, our client needs a PTO to be the technical bridge between business needs and solution execution.
Your Mission
As the Product Technical Owner, you will drive the technical design and implementation of the new Conference solution, leveraging Indico. You will ensure the solution is robust, scalable, future-proof, and aligns with
technical standards and organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Solution Architecture: Participate in designing the overall solution architecture. Map integration points with existing enterprise systems (e.g., Physical Security, Zoom, SharePoint, Document Management System, etc.). Define data models and entity relationships and establish a security framework.
Implementation Oversight: Participate in the configuration of Indico to meet business requirements. Direct the development of custom entities, forms, workflows, and business rules. Orchestrate integration between Indico and third-party systems.
Quality Assurance: Create system and system integration test scripts. Create UAT test scripts that meet acceptance criteria. Participate in system testing and manage User Acceptance Testing with the end users.
Operational Readiness: Ensure proper solution transfer to production and setting up operational capability. Deliver transition to operation procedures, system documentation, and maintenance procedures.
Change Management: Develop user training materials and documentation. Coordinate training sessions for different user groups.
What You Bring
- 8+ years of experience in piloting development teams.
- 5+ years of specific experience with Python language.
- 5+ years in managing containerised cloud environments (e.g., Docker / AWS).Track record of successful stakeholder management at executive levels.
- Background in creating test scripts and conducting user acceptance sessions.
- Experience in post-implementation support and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Technical & Soft Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Python language.
Ability to architect and oversee the development of complex software solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills to analyse business requirements and technical trends.
Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
Education: University degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. Significant experience in the field may be considered in lieu of an IT-related degree.
Nice-to-Haves):
Experience with configuring the Indico solution.
Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) or ITIL certification.
Experience in change management and user adoption strategies.
Proven ability to manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.
This role can be based remotely with regular travel to Geneva. Candidates must, therefore, be within +/-2 hours of Geneva time and with the ability to travel onsite easily and without visa restrictions.
