About this role

Salary: CHF 90'000 - 120'000 per year

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; HVAC or mechanical engineering background is a plus
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager with a strong understanding of at least one building-industry domain such as automation, BMS, HVAC, energy systems, facility management and operations, or Industrial IoT in buildings
Experience with deploying AI at scale in production
Understanding AI model limitations (bias, drift, data sparsity) and key performance metrics (accuracy, precision, recall, RMSE)
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, with AWS as a clear advantage
Familiarity with data pipelines, event streams, and production data workflows
Understanding of building and IoT protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, OPC-UA for integration with AI systems
Strong interpersonal and adaptive skills, including empathy, curiosity, clear communication, conflict resolution, and the ability to adapt quickly in uncertain situations
Fluent in English

Responsibilities:

Understand the product backlog by breaking down complex AI business features into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
Coordinate refinement with architects, data scientists, and engineering teams
Conduct, along with experts, hands-on evaluation of existing technologies (both internal and external) to advise development teams on their choice options
Understand and influence the data pipeline based on business requirements
Act as the interface between data science/ML engineering, software engineering, UX/UI, domain experts (building automation/construction/energy), and Product Management
Adjust communication style depending on the audience (technical and non-technical people)
Define how product performance (KPIs) should be tracked and implemented
Continuously assess development performance and implement corrective actions
