Model Risk Management - CRO (m/w/d)

A leading bank in Zurich is looking for a Model Risk management for a short 2 months contract. 

- Independent validation of a model, that is developed to comply with how the US withholding tax status of a financial equity-linked instrument is determined
according to section 871(m) of the Internal Revenue Code.
- Each equity-linked instrument with US underlying securities will be deemed either in-scope or out ofscope (potentially in-scope) for the purpose of this regulation, where an in-scope status leads to a higher withholding tax (30%) on the equivalent dividend amount.

Skills:
- Expertise on Withholding Tax Status According to Section 871(m) (US) and mathematical modelling and product and expertise for Equity derivatives (i.e., Greeks) is required.

- A mix team of SMEs from US Tax regulation and quantitative analyst

- Good write up skills in English to be able to produce a validation report, and communication skills to discuss complex concepts with stakeholders.
