Applied AI Founding Engineer

Salary: CHF 140'000 - 150'000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a first or early engineer at a startup, or equivalent drive demonstrated through self-initiated projects
• Strong backend skills in Python (FastAPI) and/or NodeJS
• Practical experience with LLM orchestration (e.g. LangGraph) and shipping AI pipelines in production environments
• Systems thinking mindset: deep understanding of data flow, state management, and robust error handling
• High ownership mentality and pragmatic approach – you ship a good solution today rather than a perfect one tomorrow

Responsibilities:

• Co-define system architecture and make independent technology decisions from day one
• Build and operate AI agents that autonomously process complex, high-value transactions
• Develop robust data pipelines that turn unstructured inputs into reliable API calls
• Optimise orchestration logic for low latency and high reliability at production scale
