AI / Power Systems Engineer
About this role
Salary: CHF 80’000 - 110’000 per year
Requirements:- Strong expertise in machine learning and AI.
- Experience working with imaging and time-series data.
- Ability to manage large datasets and develop models for reliable production environments.
- Knowledge of power systems and energy markets is a plus.
- Motivated and curious, with the ability to transition quickly from concept to implementation.
- Previous work experience is welcome but not required.
- Develop AI-based forecasting models for photovoltaic (PV) generation and integrate these forecasts into OPTIION's trading platform.
- Expand responsibilities to include other types of forecasting and the development of ML-based trading models across multiple energy markets.
- Collaborate with energy system and market experts to turn research ideas into production-ready solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution of technology and products as part of a small, fast-moving team.
- Take ownership of tasks from day one and help shape the company's direction as it grows.
