In your role, you will interface with external suppliers to develop our optical test capabilities. This includes the specification, validation, and correlation of different optical systems.As a member of a project team, you will take responsibility for the testing of components and provide feedback to the process and design engineers and our customers. You will therefore be in close contact with the optical design group and the process development team.You will also design and build custom optical setups capable to measure the performance of our parts and maintain, optimize and automate existing setups.Furthermore, you will carry out the analysis of the measurement data and the preparation and presentation of the reports.You will be part of a company that offers a fast-moving and busy work environment, where all opinions are valued together.   • Support the testing roadmap of NILT
  • Support customer projects regarding optical testing
  • Manage suppliers and drive the development of optical test capabilities
  • Testing of optical components with new test methodologies
  • Design, build and optimize optical test setups
  • Perform data analysis on measurement data
  • Reporting and documentation

  • Coordination with suppliers

  • Independent, work towards an objective rather than following instructions
  • A structured approach to work and attention to detail

  • Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Qualifications & Profile

  • MSc degree in Microengineering, Optics, Photonics, or similar
  • 1-5 years of work experience
  • Solid background in optics & experience in optical test metrology
  • Kledge of at least one programming language, ideally Python
  • Practical experience in the lab is a plus
  • English (required), German is a plus
