Production Development Specialist (m/f/d)

For our client, an international company based in  Schaffhausen, we are looking for a Production Development Specialist (m/f/d).

We are seeking a Production Engineering Specialist to join our client's Product and Process Engineering team. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Production Engineering and play a key role in the ongoing optimization of production equipment, assembly methods, and processes. This position is a great opportunity to drive tangible improvements in manufacturing efficiency, cost, quality, and safety.

As a Production Engineering Specialist, you will be actively involved in the transformation of the production site and will have the chance to apply your change management skills in a dynamic environment.

General Information:

• Start: 13.10.2025 or ASAP

• Duration: Initial contract of 6 months with the possibility to extend it

• Workplace: Schaffhausen

• Workload: 100%

Tasks & Responsibilities:
 

• Plan, implement, and develop manufacturing workflows, production processes, and resources to optimize the production and testing of assemblies and devices

• Conceive, procure, and implement equipment, coordinating with both internal and external partners

• Assume product responsibility for a specific product line, handling all production engineering tasks across various locations

• Collaborate on the industrialization of new products, from the initial concept through to serial production

Qualifications:

 

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a similar field. Relevant practical experience is also considered.

• Several years of professional experience in industrial production, ideally within the specified areas of responsibility

• Vocational training or further education in a relevant field is a plus

• Ability to think conceptually and "out of the box"

• Strong affinity for IT and data processing

• A passion for optimization and change, with a strong can-do mentality

• Fluent in German and proficient in English
