About this role

We are looking for a qualified Procurement Specialist Engineering (m/f/d) to support our client's procurement team in Bern.

 

In this role, you will work closely with the Procurement Manager, focusing on analytical and coordinative tasks within supplier and contract management. You will play a vital role in supporting major CAPEX projects, executing tenders independently, handling claim management, and ensuring seamless data maintenance across procurement systems.

  • Duration: 15.09.2026 -  31.03.2027 (Permanent transition potentially possible, but not guaranteed)

  • Workplace: Bern

  • Workload: 100% (40 hours/week)

  • Home Office: Up to 40% remote flexibility

     

Tasks & Responsibilities
 

  • CAPEX & Project Support: Assist the Procurement Manager with large-scale CAPEX projects, contract drafting, and preparation of core contractual documentation.

  • Tendering & Procurement: Independently prepare, coordinate, and execute tendering processes (RFXs) for engineering requirements.

  • Contract & Claim Management: Manage, process, and track commercial claims while supporting active supplier contract management.

  • Data Management: Maintain, audit, and optimize master data across relevant procurement and ERP systems.

  • Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as a reliable interface for analytical and operational purchasing tasks across internal and external stakeholders.

     

Qualifications & Requirements (Must-Haves)
 

  • Professional Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in procurement, supplier management, and supporting CAPEX projects.

  • Legal & Contract Expertise: Proven knowledge of contract and procurement law, including practical experience in contract preparation and claim management.

  • Technical & System Skills: Technical understanding combined with proficiency in SAP, ARIBA, and MS Office applications.

  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, high degree of autonomy, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

  • Language Skills: Business fluent in German (written and spoken).

     

Desirable Skills (Nice-to-Haves)
 

  • Public Procurement: Knowledge or experience in public procurement law (Öffentliches Beschaffungsrecht).

  • Additional Languages: Intermediate proficiency in French (B1 level or higher).
