A pharmaceutical laboratory working on development of innovative formulations reinforces its team and is hiring it’sFormulation Development Scientist TRB Chemedica, an international Swiss pharmaceutical company, active in over 60 countries, is a major player since 40 years in the production and distribution of innovative therapies of ophthalmologic, rheumatologic and neurologic disease’s treatment. Human-sized company, TRB Chemedica fosters a corporate culture where autonomy, trust and innovation are a real force for professional growth.As a satellite of our core R&D laboratory located in Vouvry (VS), we are developing a new laboratory, located in the Geneva area, aiming at contributing to develop innovative and patented pharmaceutical products for all our therapeutic areas: rheumatology, ophthalmology and neurology.In order to strengthen our team and start with the new location activity, we are looking for a Formulation Development Scientist eager to work on novel formulations with propensity to work independently, as well as reporting to core R&D team.Your responsibilities:

  • Set up and support the lab’s infrastructure
  • Develop new formulations(hydrogels, micelles, patchs, capsules, etc…) providing innovative solutions in rheumatology, ophthalmology and neurology
  • Test new raw materials using pre-formulation principles to support the development of new products
  • Assist in the development of methods (rheological analysis, API quantification, release, analytical characterization…) to characterize formulations or raw materials
  • Prepare stability samples and stability protocols
  • Document work in notebooks, ELN, reports, and manuscripts
  • Contribute to design and conduct studies related to formulation development as well as process design or improvement
  • Remain aware of current and new science and technological developments by conducting regular patent and scientific literature research
  • Participate in national and international congresses
  • Coordinate trials with universities and CRO
  • Develop and manage Master students

Education and experiences:

  • PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent
  • Previous experience in university or biotech/pharma industry
  • Previous experience in formulation development for pharmaceutic application
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Strong attention to details and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Able to work productively independently and to report periodically to core R&D team
  • Post-doctoral experience in international environment would be a-plus
