As a successful Director, Value Stream Lead Packaging, you are responsible for the Packaging of high-quality products under safe conditions, on schedule, and within budget. You lead through a high degree of cross-functional collaboration and communication within the large Value Stream organization.Reporting to the Bern Site Head and being a part of the Bern Operations Leadership Team, you actively contribute to site-wide goals and initiatives to achieve overall site business goals.Leading the large Packaging organization, you perform a Value Stream plan with goals, and strategies and actively enable your population to develop and grow. Like this, you ensure a continuously high degree of employee engagement.These are your main responsibilities:

  • Establishing operational plans and strategies that directly impact the achievement of the Packaging value stream results
  • Managing a solid budget- and resource-planning
  • Being a leader who provides guidance, and direction and develops and empowers employees to meet both their career goals and the organizational targets
  • Achieve top tier results for quality, safety, reliability, and cost planning
  • Communicating the progress at the site and global level and ensuring all manufacturing activities for the value stream comply with global compliance regulations, relevant acts, legal demands, and CSL's Code of Conduct
  • Proactively managing internal and external relationships to deliver on goals
  • Ensuring the manufacturing of products on a safety standard that ensures drug safety
  • Establishing all necessary measures, KPI’s and regular control
  • Achieving an optimal inspection readiness, including appropriate preparation to enable a positive execution of all regulatory inspections and other third party audits
  • Optimizing resource and execution planning as well as identifying and implementing continuous process, productivity, and cost improvements

Who you areWith your positive and inspirational leadership guidance, you successfully support your strong Packaging teams to realize safe and high-quality work and like this ensure strong your people are developed.Furthermore, you possess the following competencies:

  • University degree and a minimum of 10 years experience in a pharmaceutical organization, with a strong experience in Packaging
  • 8 - 10 years' managerial experience and a track record in operational (plant) settings in a pharmaceutical or biotechnological industry
  • Outstanding leadership competencies, with which you motivate, engage and develop large populations and drive results as a community
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across diverse functions regionally and globally
  • Strong communication, incl. inspirational and influencing skills with the ability to provide and life “the big picture”
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and understanding of business value drivers
  • Strong ability to lead audits and inspections
  • Highly motivated attitude with an operational excellence mindset and good technical understanding
  • Fluent German and English skills
