Internship in organisation of scientific congresses (paid, 100%)

The Scientific Intern (m/f) will work together with the Science Managers in the organization of the Society’s congress, ECCMID and in the implementation of other scientific activities of the Society.Your tasks:

  • support the science manager in managing the communication with speakers/sponsors
  • produce and review printed and online scientific material
  • organise meetings
  • create and update excel spread sheets
  • compile reports and prepare presentations
  • support the team with administrative tasks

Your opportunities:

 Your qualifications and skills:

  • University (including University of applied sciences/Fachhochschule/HES) master or bachelor (Life sciences preferred; education background in Administration/Management, Mass Communications, Event Management or a related field will be also considered)
  • strong motivation to learn
  • excellent written and verbal communications skills in English; other languages are an asset
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint highly considered
  • strict attention to details
  • outstanding communication ability
  • excellent organisational skills
  • open to work in an international environment

This paid internship position offers a unique opportunity to support a medical non-profit society in one of its core activities and to be part of a small and highly professional team of experts at the society's office in Basel, Switzerland.
