About this role

We are seeking a Contract Manager for a full-time position in Italian Switzerland, with potential for travel/temporary assignments to other Swiss regions.

The Contract Manager will report hierarchically to the Project Manager and functionally to the Head of the Contract Department, collaborating closely with them and other project functions.

Responsibilities:

Manage all phases of contractual matters for one or more projects, encompassing both the main contract with the client and subcontracts with companies and suppliers.

Analyze the main contract to identify risk profiles and contractual deliverables, defining critical control points and requirements for subcontracts.

Periodically conduct sessions for project personnel to enhance their understanding of contractual conditions, particularly the contractor's rights and obligations.

Set up and manage contractual procedures and reporting, in line with group operational models and guidelines. Inform and train the project team on key contract elements to ensure proper contractual management.

Handle relevant correspondence and formal notifications to both clients and subcontractors, providing support and advice to the Project Manager on contractual matters.

Coordinate the preparation of Monthly Statements and manage the active certification process with the client according to payment procedures.

Coordinate the preparation and valuation of client-requested variations and variations to be submitted to the client.

Support the procurement office in negotiating contractual aspects of subcontracts and manage subcontract contractual matters (payment certifications, change finalization, claim and dispute management).

Ensure proper maintenance of all contractual documentation and prepare the Contract Dept. Monthly Report.

Analyze deviations identified by other company functions (planning, cost control, AFC, etc.), evaluating causes and effects to determine the existence of claims (variations, reservations) against the client or subcontractors.

In collaboration with other functions and the Project Manager, identify and prepare requests for contract term extensions and extra cost recognition (claim management), engaging external consultants as needed, and participating in discussions with the client.

Coordinate dispute management according to contractual escalation levels (negotiation, ADR, arbitration, or ordinary court), supporting involved company functions and external consultants (lawyers, experts, insurers, etc.).

Support the final delivery process to the client and the contract closing phase

Requirements
