Product Owner Optical Network & IT

You maximise the value delivered by our Optical Network and IT team for the Transport Optical network. Your responsibilities will be the development of our network by integrating partner products through testing and validation as well as managing the lifecycle of IT applications and infrastructure. You drive our move from Telco to TechCo with your experience across both domains. You work in a collaborative team that values initiative, quality and reliability.

• Define and communicate priorities and the roadmap with the Product Manager, architects and stakeholders
• Refine, prioritise and plan work with your team using lean, transparent ways of working
• Ensure smooth integration of partner products (NMS & Network Elements) into our optical and time‑synchronisation networks through testing and validation
• Own the lifecycle of key IT applications and infrastructure, and drive cloud and internal shared service adoption
• Remove blockers, act as the primary contact for stakeholders and foster an automation‑first, high‑quality mindset

Your Skills

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or Network Engineering
• Proven track record as a Technical Product Owner/Manager or Technical Project Manager
• Strong understanding of optical transport networks and related technologies (OTN, DWDM)
• Experience with software and hardware acceptance testing for network elements and management systems
• Hands‑on software development and design with containers and orchestration platforms, plus experience building CI/CD pipelines
• You coach and enable your team to innovate and collaborate
• You show a positive, can‑do attitude and embrace change
• You take ownership and act responsibly to deliver the right outcomes
• Very good English and German skills
