DevOps Engineer (Virtualization)

As a System Engineer specializing in Virtualization, you are instrumental in maintaining and designing Swisscom's Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Your role is vital for ensuring our platform’s infrastructure operates smoothly, utilizing cutting-edge VMware technologies and automation tools to optimize performance.

• Effectively manage a variety of critical virtualization services across Switzerland
• Participate in operations to ensure stable and uninterrupted service delivery
• Collaborate on improvement and development of infrastructure automation
• Leverage creative freedom in a dynamic and agile environment
• Design and innovate across a wide range of products and technologies
• Engage in operations and development, focusing on stable environments and automation
• Handle infrastructure as code and configuration management using Ansible and Python

Your skills:

• Experience with virtualization solutions like VMware vSphere; vCloud Director is an advantage
• Proficiency in troubleshooting to perform on-call operation duty
• Fluent in German or English
• Working knowledge of scripting languages like Python or PowerShell
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible
• Knowledge of monitoring solutions like Prometheus & Grafana is an advantage
