Salary: CHF 65’000 - 85’000 per year

Requirements:

● Programming Languages:
○ Bash
○ JavaScript (NodeJS)
○ Rust (knowledge of, or willingness to learn, for potential integration with existing stack)
● Tools and General Skills:
○ Infrastructure Management:
▪ Mastery of Docker (Swarm) is a big plus
▪ Experience with Kubernetes and associated Web2 services
▪ Experience with firewalls (pfSense), network switches, and server hardware
▪ Experience with Reverse proxy, LDAP, and SSO Server
▪ Understanding of Asymmetric cryptography principles
○ DevOps and Version Control:
▪ DevOps scripting experience is a plus; mastery of git is required
▪ Experience with GitLab organizational tools and workflows
▪ Experience with unit testing and code coverage
▪ Experience with code documentation (e.g., rustdoc, JSdoc)
○ Other Managed Services:
▪ Experience with GitLab and Nextcloud
▪ Knowledge of backup and security update best practices
● Soft Skills:
○ Autonomy, autodidact
○ Able to prioritize according to the big picture and roadmaps

Responsibilities:

● Monitor and Maintain Infrastructure:
○ Surveil the general status of infrastructure
○ Perform ad-hoc maintenance actions
○ Apply updates when relevant
○ Intervene in case of incidents, limited to the scope of information transmitted
○ Provide general recommendations and guidance
● Manage and Support Core Services:
○ Maintain and support the managed infrastructure, including 4 pfSense firewalls, 4 network switches, and 3 physical servers
○ Oversee managed services such as GitLab, Reverse proxy, Nextcloud, LDAP, SSO Server, Kubernetes (plus associated Web2 services), Docker Swarm (plus associated Web2 services), backups, and security updates
● Contribute to DevOps Excellence:
○ Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented infrastructure-as-code and scripts, adhering to established coding standards
○ Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve any infrastructure issues, providing timely and effective solutions
○ Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and operations processes, tools, and techniques
