DSP Scientist (m/f/d)
About this role
As part of the Global Drug Substance Development department, you will join a team of motivated scientists dedicated to developing and optimizing downstream processes for new biological therapeutics (NBEs and ADCs). You will be responsible for leading our portfolio pipeline projects in downstream process development. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting our development and submission initiatives, ensuring that our development strategies are aligned with our business goals.
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and assisting laboratory experiments to support the development of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and organize the downstream process development activities for our portfolio pipeline projects
• Independently plan, organize, assist, and document scientific experiments; handle several activities at a time
• Design and support execution of experimental studies on our End-To-End robotic platform to determine the best process conditions for mAbs and ADCs purification
• Evaluate and interpret results, propose and actively support the design of next experiments, supervise project-related activities; perform complex tasks without having established procedures of downstream processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and improve process efficiency. Generate scientific documents to hand over to internal and/or external partners and support the generation of international registration documents under minimal supervision.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Master's degree or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology).
• Experience in designing and executing experimental studies, preferably in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Familiarity with robotic screening approaches and data analysis software.
• Strong background in biotech process development and manufacturing, particularly in Downstream Processing (DSP).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Python scripting is desirable.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
