About this role

  • Support the General Counsel in providing legal advice and support across the Group, covering both internal corporate and operational matters and external client-related matters.
  • Advise on legal matters relating to private wealth, trusts and fiduciary structures, including the preparation and review of relevant legal and client documentation.
  • Draft and review client documents, legal correspondence, meeting materials and other legal documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support the Group Compliance and Operations teams on relevant legal and regulatory matters, including reporting processes relating to CRS, Beneficial Owner Registers and Economic Substance across applicable jurisdictions.
  • Liaise and coordinate with external law firms and other professional advisers in Switzerland and internationally, as required.
  • Support the General Counsel on ad hoc legal matters and Group projects.
  • Coordinate internal legal training sessions for Group staff.

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer in a common-law jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience, ideally within private wealth, trusts and fiduciary services.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of trusts and related fiduciary matters.
  • Relevant experience gained in a law firm, trust company, family office or similar private wealth environment.
  • Ability to advise effectively on both internal Group matters and external client-related legal matters.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are an advantage.
  • Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong planning, organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Proficient user of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
